FAQ: Lens Protector for Meta/Oculus Quest 2

The lenses are made of high-quality Tritan and have oil-proof, abrasion-resistant, anti-smudge, blue light filter and UV400 coatings to prevent minor scratches, fingerprints and smudges, and filter out some of the harmful light to reduce eye fatigue.

You can brush off any lint or dust with a microfiber cloth. The protectors are suitable for rinsing in water by hand. To wash them, uninstall them from the VR HMD lens. Handwash them gently in warm water and wipe dry with a microfiber cloth before reinstalling them in your headset.

We do not recommend using cleaning solutions as they may contain abrasive chemicals that could wear away the coatings on the lenses. To remove oily smudges, rub them out gently in a circular motion with a dry microfiber cloth.*

*No microfiber cloth is included. Any microfiber cloth for eyeglasses, phones, tablets and laptops can be used. For best results, wash your microfiber cloth regularly.

Just give the protectors a slight twist and they’ll come right out.

It depends on the thickness of your glasses. When installed, about 0.2cm of the protector rim extends towards you. If your glasses are already nearly touching the headset lens, they may come into contact with the protectors.

Yes, the protectors can be used with our headset accessories for Quest 2, including:
